Powerful and patented by the pioneer of an easy-to-use order preparation and projection system, the Universal Kitchen Video System (UKVS) from Panasonic® is an important component in Quick Serve Tech's Quick Service solution. Designed to complement the transaction and information processing of Panasonic Point of Sale Systems, UKVS concentrates on helping you improve order accuracy, speed of service, and ultimately - customer satisfaction.

You can choose from a menu of operational modes and mode options, depending of the production style of your operation. Specific item steering is programmed and stored in the system controller. You can reprogram any steering or display changes from the workstation without requiring controller access to accomplish the changes.

The Universal KVS System uses a four-position or 14-position Bump Bar depending on the software version. The Bump Bar is your control for order preparation management and mode programming and has multiple overlays to accommodate these functions. The 14-position Bump Bar incorporates a beep tone for alerting staff to possible customer delays, based on preset order times.

An additional value with UKVS is Speed of Service Reporting. Initiated at the POS workstation, you have the ability to download from you UKVS System Controller, a record of speed of service times to really monitor your order production effectiveness.

Visual Display Options

Using standard VGA/SVGA monitors, Universal Kitchen Video offers programmable colors for greatly improving character/exception recognition over simple monochrome displays. Customize the display and help your employees easily recognize the characteristics that identify and prioritize each other.

You can set the background color, as well as panel lines, timers, menu items, voids, cashiers, counters, change orders and more. You may also choose fixed, blinking, or reverse display options for further customization and easy screen review. The Universal KVS System also supports the traditional monochrome display on composite video monitors.
